Role Overview

The Lead NPD Process Specialist serves as a vital connection between product innovation and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Product Development: Ensure seamless transition and manufacturing process enhancement for new products throughout the concept-to-launch journey, maintaining technical and quality benchmarks.
  • Process Optimization: Evaluate existing production methods and pursue continuous improvement, efficiency, and value engineering opportunities to consistently achieve high product quality.
  • Technology Integration: Identify and assist in the implementation of new technologies that support the company's Product Innovation Strategy.
  • Trial Management: Organize and execute factory trials as part of the EPD and NPD initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement Leadership: Spearhead initiatives across the entire product and process portfolio, collaborating closely with Technical, Operations, and Engineering teams to ensure effective change implementation.
  • Pre-Production Coordination: Oversee preparations for pre-production and product launches.
  • Post-Launch Evaluation: Contribute to the assessment of processes post-launch in collaboration with the Technical Team to confirm that the established processes remain valid for full-scale production.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for food and a comprehensive understanding of dynamic food manufacturing processes. A degree in Food Science or a related field is essential, along with prior experience in the FMCG sector within food manufacturing.

Essential Skills
  • Proficient knowledge of food manufacturing processes, including raw material preparation, baking, sheeting, and flavoring processing, ideally in an NPD, Process, or Development Technologist capacity.
