Join Our Team as an Optometrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Optometrist to join our team at ACES, an independent provider of NHS eye care outpatient and surgical services. As an Optometrist with ACES, you will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technologies and provide high-quality clinical care to patients.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a community setting, providing clinical support to our ophthalmologists in general and oculoplastic clinics. You will be responsible for undertaking pre and post-operative consultations for our cataract surgery patients, overseeing glaucoma care as part of a virtual ophthalmology led service, and providing clinical support to our ophthalmologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake pre and post-operative consultations for cataract surgery patients
  • Oversee glaucoma care as part of a virtual ophthalmology led service
  • Provide clinical support to ophthalmologists in general and oculoplastic clinics
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience
  • Keen to undertake higher qualifications in glaucoma
  • Passionate about delivering excellent patient care
  • Articulate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident and organised
  • Happy to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
