Job Summary

The Senior Accountant (EMEA) is a critical role within the Dynatrace Finance Shared Service Centre, responsible for the final Trial Balances for several European entities. This position requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, with a strong focus on financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts under US-GAAP, including accruals and prepayments journals as necessary.
  • Liaise with the Shared Services Centre in the UK to ensure accuracy and understanding of financial numbers.
  • Manage reporting to corporate deadlines, including the production of notes and commentaries.
  • Reconcile all Balance Sheet accounts to ensure accurate recording, including payroll-related accounts.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely manner.
  • Perform regular SOX controls for AP and Payroll transactions.
  • Complete weekly bank reconciliations for multiple entities.
  • Timely completion of annual financial statements, audits, and tax calculations.
  • Ensure legal compliance with respect to filings and statutory reports.
  • Collaborate with AP to resolve vendor payment queries.
  • Produce monthly cash flow forecasts.
  • Assist with the production of quarterly and yearly tax packages.
  • Work with the EMEA Tax team to coordinate and manage local tax audits.
  • Business partnering to gain knowledge for more accurate monthly reporting and forecasting.
  • Ad-hoc involvement in ongoing process improvement and standardization projects.

Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA part-qualified.
  • Multi-country, multi-currency experience essential.
  • Technology industry and/or fast growth industry experience advantageous.
  • Deadline-driven with excellent attention to detail and a self-starter.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills required.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Highly motivated individual with the ability to engage others.
  • Strong work ethic with proven analytical skills.
  • Experience of NetSuite ERP and Blackline reconciliation system advantageous.
