Kier Professional Services (KPS) is the engineering consultancy arm of Kier Group, dedicated to delivering innovative design solutions, expert technical guidance, and comprehensive engineering support across various business units.
With a robust portfolio of over 2,000 designs annually, we are recognized as one of the leading Temporary Works designers in the UK. Our team of over 100 Temporary Works engineers brings extensive expertise in the design and verification of Temporary Works for projects of varying scales and sectors.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Engineer at KPS, you will collaborate closely with project teams to facilitate the delivery of a wide range of civil and structural services, both in Temporary and Permanent Works. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring that our solutions are not only safe but also practical for construction.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Designing and verifying Temporary Works across various materials, integrating with Permanent Works design as necessary.
- Providing alternative solutions and value engineering to enhance the reputation of Kier.
- Supporting tender processes and bids with a focus on buildability, efficiency, and innovation.
- Conducting technical assessments and reviews of third-party designs to ensure compliance with project briefs.
- Mentoring and managing junior staff within KPS.
Candidate Profile
This role is ideal for you if:
- You are a Chartered Engineer or are in the process of obtaining your Chartered status.
- You possess a keen interest in Temporary Works Design or have relevant experience.
- You hold a valid UK driving license.
