Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Head Resourcing is seeking a highly skilled Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join our client, a leading retail bank, in their transformation journey. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering and supporting communication tools that enable seamless collaboration across the organisation.

The Colleague Messaging and Surveillance engineering team is responsible for delivering and supporting communication tools that allow employees to connect and collaborate efficiently across multiple devices. As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer, you will work closely with a diverse team across the UK to ensure the bank stays ahead in its use of modern workplace technologies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Technical assessments and deep understanding of business needs, balancing technical requirements, supplier performance, and risk
  • Knowledge of software lifecycles and software maintenance, with a focus on Microsoft technologies
  • Hands-on experience with communication technologies and Software as a Service (SaaS) implementations in cloud environments
  • Microsoft Exchange (on-premise and 365 cloud) and Email Encryption tools, such as Microsoft Purview

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of business-technical alignment and be able to balance business needs with technical requirements, risk factors, and supplier performance. A bonus and pension scheme are also available.

Hybrid working: This role requires you to work on-site 2 days per week.
