Job Description

Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

Job Type: Temporary, with possibility of becoming permanent

Location: Remote (with occasional travel to client sites)

Pay Rate: Up to £16 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Randstad Care. As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable young people in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24-hour care and support to young people in a residential setting
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care and medication administration
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals
  • Contribute to a safe and nurturing environment, promoting the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of young people
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective team working and communication

Requirements:

  • 6 months of prior experience in a residential setting with young people aged below 16 years
  • Flexibility in the roles undertaken
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Registration under the PVG scheme
  • Full driving license (required)
  • Obtained or working towards SVQ level 3 and SVQ level 4 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable
