Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Diagnostic Technician to join our team at Kemp Recruitment Ltd. As a PSV Diagnostic Specialist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify and repair faults in heavy vehicles.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to the garage team to enhance their technical skills.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with the garage team to resolve technical issues and reduce dependency on external contractors.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Produce regular reports on garage technical issues to inform management decisions.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs.
  • Diagnostic Skills: Proven experience in diagnostic techniques and the use of advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Hybrid Training: Familiarity with hybrid systems and the ability to work with complex vehicle systems.
Desirable Skills
  • Equipment Experience: Familiarity with a range of diagnostic equipment, including Volvo Tech-tool/Impact, BAE / Siemen hybrid systems, Cummins Insite Pro, Cummins Quick-serve, Allison Doc, ZF Testman, Mercedes Xentry, and BYD KT710.
