About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our team at Ipsum Group. As a key member of our Power division, you will provide high-quality control and support to the Finance Business Partner and Divisional Head of Finance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure controls are well maintained and adhered to, providing close control of working capital and playing a pivotal role in the company and wider group investment.
  • Prepare accurate financial and commercial information, working closely with external auditors regarding the annual audit.
  • Collaborate with finance/commercial processing teams to ensure control compliance, conducting debtor and creditor reviews with respective teams.
  • Maintain key tax control accounts, review and oversee payroll process ready for finance partner sign off, and prepare and control cashflow and working capital for finance partner review.
  • Ensure best practice controls are adhered to and enhanced, maintaining accurate and up-to-date P11d records.
About You
  • Part-qualified accountant with a desire to progress and challenge, possessing excellent Excel and system skills and experience.
  • Experience of working in an accounting role, with a willingness to challenge everything and not accept the status quo.
  • Ability to influence and motivate, respond to pressure, work at pace, and desire to succeed, as a team player able to build good relationships and confidence at all levels.
  • Commercial experience and a passion for the industry, with a focus on supporting our teams in delivering essential services 24/7/365 that make a difference to local people and communities.
