Position Summary: We are currently seeking a qualified Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a dynamic team within a well-established manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive technical support across both electrical and mechanical systems to address, prevent, and resolve technical challenges throughout the facility.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the factory, aligning with business objectives and performance targets.
  • Deliver effective engineering support through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), encompassing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic tasks.
  • Mentor and share expertise with team members, assist senior engineers, and oversee minor projects as required.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to food safety protocols in accordance with industry standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following all housekeeping guidelines.
  • Promote a culture of food safety grounded in knowledge, capability, and attitude.
  • Identify and report any food safety or product quality concerns promptly to the line manager.

Maintenance Duties:

  • Respond to reactive maintenance issues and perform repairs in a safe and effective manner.
  • Ensure machinery and services are maintained through PPM to meet departmental needs, employing the most suitable maintenance strategies.
  • Support production operations by addressing any equipment-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Document maintenance activities accurately in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to facilitate analysis and enhance asset reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a maintenance role within a production environment, with a multi-skilled focus.
  • Possession of City and Guilds electrical/mechanical ONC-B-Tec qualifications.
  • Proficient in the repair, maintenance, testing, and installation of various equipment.
  • Experience with single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, including 415v.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Proactive in identifying and escalating any near misses or risks within the workplace.
  • Engage in continuous professional development by assessing training needs with your line manager.
