Front Desk Associate

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Receptionist to join our team at the 4-star Mercure Exeter Rougemont Hotel. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide a warm and welcoming experience for all guests, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process.
- Respond to guest queries and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with the Front Office Manager and Reception Supervisors to ensure that all guest feedback is addressed and that the hotel's high standards are maintained.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the hotel's products and services, including room categories, rates, packages, and promotions.
- Maximize room occupancy by using up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.
- Process payments and handle foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash in accordance with the hotel's credit policy.
- Ensure compliance with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease.
- Knowledge of hotel operations and procedures.
- Basic IT skills and proficiency in property management systems.
- Ability to work flexibly and be available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
