United Plant Services is a prominent engineering and asset management firm, recognized for delivering top-tier engineering assistance and fleet management for Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) within the quarry and waste sectors. As a part of The Briggs Equipment Group, we are a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland. Your Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Company Health and Safety protocols at all times, ensuring the safety of colleagues and clients.
  • Develop competitive estimates for Parts and Services to meet or surpass sales objectives.
  • Maintain clear communication with both internal and external stakeholders, keeping them informed and managing expectations effectively.
  • Take ownership of the estimate generation process, focusing on timely conversion to sales while managing customer expectations.
  • Identify and optimize business opportunities to enhance revenue and profit margins.
  • Collaborate closely with the Service Administrator to oversee any Purchase Order accruals.
  • Foster relationships with the engineering supply chain, including parts, third-party services, and more.
  • Prioritize tasks to align with customer expectations in accordance with the Company’s contractual obligations and KPIs.
  • Ensure the highest standard of service is provided to customers, with effective follow-up and resolution of issues.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and Regional Managers to produce accurate estimates on the first attempt.
  • Manage the estimate process until job completion, including updating estimates and obtaining authorization for any overruns.
  • Ensure that purchase order numbers are secured before commencing any billable work.
  • Monitor all pending estimates to ensure they are addressed within a week.
  • Assist with call handling and job logging as needed.
  • Support the training of new team members.
  • Promote a collaborative team environment and provide assistance to colleagues as required.
  • Perform any reasonable tasks assigned by the regional line manager.

Qualifications for Success:

  • A minimum of 5 years in a technical environment.
  • Proven experience in estimating work.
  • Experience in liaising with the supply chain.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • Proficiency in Excel for data management and reporting.
  • Industry knowledge to drive supply chain innovation.
  • Exceptional communication skills across all levels.
  • Attention to detail and effective issue resolution.
