Job Title: Business Crime and Litigation Paralegal

Job Summary:

Montresor Legal is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. As a Paralegal in our Business Crime and Litigation department, you will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough legal research on various aspects of business crime and litigation, providing concise and well-documented findings.
  • Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence.
  • Liaise with clients, providing updates and gathering necessary information under the supervision of senior lawyers.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and maintaining case databases.
  • Work closely with the legal team to ensure smooth case progression and provide support as needed on various projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
  • Completion of the Legal Practice Course (LPC) is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a paralegal in a law firm, ideally within business crime and litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of legal procedures and documentation.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
