About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Substantial Group. As a key member of our fibre installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fibre network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on our fibre network to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Identify and resolve network issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with our installation team to ensure seamless fibre installations and upgrades.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect and maintain fibre infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve network efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Work closely with our technical team to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to our clients.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in fibre network maintenance and installation.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fibre optic networks and telecommunications systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications (e.g. IPAF, NRSWA, SMART AWARDS).
