Role Overview

We are excited to announce an opening for a Furniture Retail Supervisor within our expanding retail team. The Furniture Retail Supervisor will report directly to the Operations Director and will be responsible for the daily operations of the Charity Shop, which includes managing store hours, overseeing inventory, achieving sales goals, coordinating delivery vehicles, handling finances, and leading a team of staff and volunteers.

This multifaceted role demands integrity, honesty, outstanding customer service, creativity, and the ability to inspire and engage a team. The Furniture Retail Supervisor will work to optimize shop performance and ensure a safe, clean, and inviting environment for both staff and customers.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in a supervisory capacity within the retail sector, thriving in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve sales targets and key performance indicators.
  • A strong passion for driving sales and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage a busy workload effectively.
  • Experience in record keeping and cash management.
  • A commitment to high merchandising standards and store presentation.
  • Proficient in literacy and numeracy, with experience using electronic point of sale systems.
  • Willingness to travel and provide support at various store locations as needed.
  • Familiarity with online platforms for increasing sales is a plus.
