About the Role

Position Overview

We are seeking a Skilled Industrial Pipe Fitter to collaborate with ENKA UK on the Hinkley Point C Project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize tools such as saws, grinders, and cutting torches to cut, thread, and shape pipes according to precise specifications.
  • Assemble and secure various piping components, including tubes, fittings, and valves, through methods such as welding, brazing, and soldering.
  • Install pipes to structures and fixtures, employing brackets and clamps as necessary.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on installed piping systems using pressure gauges and hydrostatic testing.
  • Measure and mark pipes accurately for cutting and threading.
  • Perform torqueing and tensioning of bolts for flanged connections.
  • Install pipe supports and assist in the rolling of pipeline strings onto tracks.
  • Execute steel pipe jacking using hydraulic or manual jacks.
  • Develop full-scale drawings of piping systems in accordance with blueprints.
  • Repair and replace damaged pipelines as required.
  • Support the installation of pipe assemblies and fittings using both hand and power tools.
  • Assist other departments, particularly in welding and PWHT activities, as needed.
  • Adhere to a strict 'zero harm' policy regarding safety and security, especially given the nature of the project.
  • Comply with all company rules and regulations related to nuclear site licensing.
  • Maintain cleanliness in work areas, including waste disposal and removal of unused materials to minimize hazards.
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Possession of a Diploma in Installing Engineering Construction Plant and Systems - Pipefitting or equivalent.
  • Hold the ECITB Skills Test Alternative / Skills Test Number: TMF05 or an ACE Card.
  • Demonstrate English proficiency at CEFR Level B1.
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance (BPSS).
  • Possess or be able to obtain a CCNSG Safety Passport.
