Site Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Supervisor to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment. As a Site Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of surfacing projects across various sectors, including Highways, Retail, Rail, Aviation, Commercial, and Defence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and promote the company's health and safety policy while supervising surfacing works.
  • Assist the Contracts Manager in day-to-day management and delivery of projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage and comply with all Health and Safety requirements.
  • Produce forward programmes for contracts managers, including material, labour, and plant requirements.
  • Monitor progress of works programmes and advise on any necessary adjustments.
  • Undertake regular site inspections and safety tours.
  • Complete L, P & M returns and raise NCRs as necessary.
  • Liaise closely with commercial and QS teams to enhance the value of contracts.
Requirements:
  • NVQ level 3/4 construction supervision (desirable).
  • Surfacing and highways experience.
  • CSCS, SMSTS, NRSWA certifications.
  • Site measurement experience.
  • Understanding of CDM regulations and relevant standards and specifications.
  • Experience of dealing with commercial elements, including cost capture and value streams.
  • Good understanding of operational procedures.
  • Ability to understand programme and outputs to forward plan works for allocated schemes.
