Lead Pharmacy Technician

Join our dedicated team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust as a pivotal member of the Procurement and Distribution (P&D) Team. In this role, you will:
- Ensure the provision of safe and high-quality patient-centered Procurement and Distribution services. This encompasses all facets of medication storage, including medical gases, in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.
- Oversee the planning, development, monitoring, auditing, evaluation, and delivery of P&D services throughout the organization.
- Guarantee compliance with medicines legislation and adherence to professional, local, and national standards.
- Implement necessary enhancements to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive and high-quality service.
- Provide professional leadership and management for all staff within the P&D domain, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pre-registration staff, trainee pharmacists, and support personnel.
- Manage regional and national contracts while ensuring departmental compliance.
- Ensure appropriate training is provided and documented for all personnel working in the area.
- Foster a culture of excellence within the P&D department and model continuous learning and improvement.
- Represent the Trust at regional and national forums and contribute to the broader strategic agenda for pharmacy technicians.

Qualifications
Essential Criteria
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Completion of first-line management training or possession of a management qualification.
- Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician status.
Desirable Criteria
- Completion of a pre-registration trainee pharmacy technician assessor course or workplace training supervisor qualification.
- CIPS qualification.
Experience
Essential Criteria
- Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
- Proven track record in delivering Procurement and Distribution services.
- Experience in line management and adherence to HR policies.
- Daily supervision and training experience.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in managing change effectively.

Special Circumstances
Essential Criteria
- Willingness to travel to various sites within the Trust and attend training venues.
- Availability for weekend and bank holiday shifts as per rota.
- Flexibility for late duties as required.
