Position Overview

We are pleased to present an exceptional opportunity with our client, a distinguished consumer brand currently navigating a transformative phase. They are seeking a skilled Interim Finance Manager for a contract period of 12 months.

This role will involve assisting the Finance Director in managing and enhancing financial reporting, processes, and controls. Additionally, it will require providing vital analysis to the Group and the board. This position is ideal for an individual with robust financial expertise and analytical capabilities.

Location: West Midlands (2-3 days per week onsite)

Contract Duration: 12 months

Candidate Rate: £600-£650 per day (outside IR35)

Key Responsibilities of the Interim Finance Manager

  • Oversee the preparation and evaluation of financial statements, ensuring precision, completeness, and adherence to applicable accounting standards.
  • Guide and develop a team of finance professionals, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and ongoing improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting obligations, including the adoption of new accounting standards.
  • Facilitate financial audits and reviews by internal and external auditors, ensuring a seamless and effective process.
  • Continuously assess and refine financial reporting processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Formulate and execute risk management strategies related to financial reporting and compliance.
  • Communicate financial outcomes and insights effectively to internal and external stakeholders, including investors and regulatory entities.

Essential Qualifications of the Interim Finance Manager

  • Fully qualified in either ACCA or ACA.
  • Experience in working within or auditing a publicly listed or large corporation.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Proficient in leading and executing change and transformation initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
