Salary: £55-65k depending upon experience

iO Associates is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Review & Acceptance to work with a consulting firm that provides asset management, construction, and engineering services. The company creates innovative and sustainable solutions for the built environment and significant infrastructure in collaboration with clients.

The firm assists clients in seven main industries: Buildings and Development; Defence, Security, and Aerospace; Energy; Logistics and Transportation; Nuclear; Manufacturing and Technology; Rail; Waste and Utilities.

Requirements:

  • Degree in an engineering field or equivalent.
  • Experience in the nuclear industry with technical expertise spanning multiple disciplines.
  • Familiarity with building and installation sectors.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including CDM and nuclear site licence requirements.
  • Knowledge of welding engineering through experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Effective functioning of the Joint Design Office, overseeing the engineering configuration of the plant and structures as they are built by the Contractor.
  • Addressing general enquiries, non-conformances, change requests, and exemption requests from the on-site NSSS Contractor, with assistance from site experts or responsible designers as needed.
  • Providing sufficient oversight to ensure compliance with Nuclear Safety and Environmental Regulation criteria.
  • Raising issues with design choices to ensure engineering and design complement the project plan.
