Environmental Advisor Role

Ward, an award-winning family-run waste and recycling business, is seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to join their team. The successful candidate will be part of the Environment and Sustainability Team, which operates across the company to ensure environmental regulatory requirements and commitments are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead activities and actions related to new permits and permit variations, ensuring all requirements are completed.
  • Oversee Action Plans to ensure all required recommendations and improvements are completed on time and in full, escalating issues and concerns as necessary.
  • Develop and update site-specific Environmental Management Plans.
  • Promote environmental awareness through training, briefings, and other communication methods.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to improve Environmental Performance.
  • Conduct Environmental Site Inspections as needed.
  • Produce quarterly environmental reports and assist colleagues with environmental tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in waste management and environmental regulation, with excellent technical expertise and communication skills. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing metals, recycling, and waste management business and contribute to its sustainability strategy.
