Aircraft Mechanic Job Description

Qatar Airways is seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our team in London Heathrow. As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality aircraft maintenance services to support our operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled and non-scheduled tasks on QR or customer aircraft in accordance with maintenance data and procedures.
  • Advise and assist engineers on aircraft and technical documentation to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Ensure compliance with company HSE standards and regulations, and promote a safe working environment.
  • Examine and inspect aircraft, engines, or components for cracks, breaks, or leaks.
  • Service, clean, and maintain aircraft, including greasing moving parts and performing tasks on aircraft.
  • Provide support in case of AOG in LHR and provide operational requirements within certain regions.
  • Perform line maintenance services to customer airlines according to contract.
  • Maintain line stores as per QR requirements.
Requirements:
  • Relevant vocational, tertiary, or trade qualification from a recognized aeronautical/technical college.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Aircraft Mechanic, with 3 years working in modern jet aircraft.
  • Experience working in one or more aircraft types operated by Qatar Airways.
  • In-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance fundamentals and ability to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
