We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our Power & Equipment business unit in Bridge of Don. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and diesel power equipment, with previous offshore experience.
The role involves trouble-shooting, maintaining, repairing, and operating Centurion equipment in accordance with approved company and HSSEQ procedures. The Service Technician will also be responsible for carrying out standard workshop duties, such as call outs, maintenance, spare part requisitions, and other tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out all standard mechanical duties as instructed, reporting progress, problems, and issues to the Workshop Manager/Supervisor.
- Carry out all planned maintenance tasks (scheduled and emergent) relevant to all equipment.
- Ensure equipment materials, spare parts, and tooling are available to enable efficient work execution.
- Implement PM checks, including temperature, pressure, volts/Hz, and record all relevant information on company records accurately.
- Carry out equipment diagnostics, trouble shooting, basic root cause analysis, and checks, documenting same and remedial actions taken.
- Liaise with Clients Offshore/Site and attend client meetings on request, following all site/client permit to work policies and HSSEQ procedures.
- Act as an ambassador for safety, demonstrating safe behaviors.
- Live our Centurion values and apply them in day-to-day activities.
- In-depth knowledge of product range.
- Health and safety procedures.
- Good communication skills, e.g., with client personnel.
- Trade qualification from a recognised and approved Training College/Provider, e.g., SVQ L3 Mechanical/Maintenance Engineering.
- Equivalent work experience combined with other qualifications may be considered.
- Offshore/worldwide experience of working on client sites.
- Professional, thorough, maintains high standards, troubleshooting skills, adaptable, and a team player.
