Overview: Perfectly Recruiting is seeking a dedicated individual for an Electrical Services Technician Apprenticeship. This role is ideal for those looking to gain hands-on experience in the building services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of scheduled maintenance tasks as directed by the Engineering Supervisor.
- Collaborate with a small team of maintenance professionals on a rotating day shift schedule, with potential weekend work on an as-needed basis.
- Perform both planned maintenance and a variety of unscheduled tasks.
- Work hours are Monday to Friday, with shifts from 7 AM to 2:30 PM or 8 PM, including a call-out rotation.
- Identify, diagnose, and rectify faults, ensuring repairs and adjustments are completed efficiently.
- Conduct routine servicing, repairs, or adjustments of equipment in line with the planned maintenance schedule.
- Adopt a versatile approach to tasks, utilizing various skills to ensure cost-effective completion.
- Monitor equipment as assigned and maintain accurate records using provided documentation.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organized, with proper disposal of waste materials.
- Comply with the company's health and safety policies, reporting any hazards or violations to the appropriate personnel.
- Undertake additional reasonable duties as requested by the Technical Manager or Engineering Supervisor.
- Be prepared to work at heights outdoors, as required for certain maintenance roles.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a full-time apprenticeship in electrical or building services HVAC, including City & Guilds 236 part 1 & 2 certification or NVQ Level 3.
- A mechanical apprenticeship with relevant electrical experience is also acceptable.
- Prior experience in a contemporary building services maintenance environment, demonstrating a basic understanding of HVAC and building services is preferred.
- Completion of the Electrical Installation (BS7671:2018) IEE Wiring Regulations 18th edition through an accredited course is highly desirable.
