We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to join our team at Novo Executive Search. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing all payroll activities within the company, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payrolls for approximately 300 employees across four business units.
The successful candidate will report directly to the UK HR Director and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant tax and payroll legislation. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned payroll professional to take on a challenging role and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain accurate employee records within our payroll software
- Resolve payroll queries and investigate discrepancies
- Process and report PAYE-related instructions to and from HMRC
- Compile payroll data and prepare nominal journals
- Reconcile net pay, PAYE, and NIC payments
- Administer benefits in kind, company cars, and PME
- Calculate SSP, SMP, and SPP payments
- Balance and submit pension contributions
- Resolve conflicts and disputes related to employee pay enquiries
- Assist in collecting data for annual pay reviews, benefit renewals, and Gender Pay Gap reporting
- Calculate commission and bonus payments
- Prepare monthly finance journals and movement reports
- At least 3 years of end-to-end payroll experience
- Comprehensive understanding of tax and payroll legislation
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll software
- Computer literacy in using Microsoft Office suite
- Level 3 CIPP (desirable)
- Accounting experience (desirable)
