Job Title: Generator Service Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Generator Service Technician to join our team at Bennett & Game Recruitment LTD. As a Generator Service Technician, you will be responsible for the on-site servicing of customer diesel generating sets across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform on-site servicing of customer diesel generating sets, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  2. Identify and diagnose faults, and subsequently rectify and test equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Carry out temporary repairs to keep clients operational while correct parts are ordered.
  4. Participate in the call-out rota, providing prompt and efficient service to clients.
  5. Assist with generator installation, fabrication work, and UPS battery build installations as required.
  6. Conduct generator load testing and commissioning to ensure equipment is functioning correctly.
  7. Perform basic generator electrical repairs to maintain equipment efficiency.
  8. Attend factory training courses to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience working in the diesel generator field.
  2. City & Guilds / NVQ in engineering advantageous.
  3. Clean driving license.
  4. Ability to stay away from home occasionally and participate in the call-out rota.
  5. Overtime available.
  6. Company vehicle with personal use allowed.
  7. Company laptop.
  8. Holiday package: 25 days + 8 BH.
