Job Summary:
Stonehill Engineering is seeking a highly skilled CNC Miller/Turner to join our team in our Machine Shop in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. As a CNC Miller/Turner, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating Mill/Turning Centres to produce high-quality components to strict tolerances and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming and operating Mill/Turning Centres (Fanuc & Haas controls) to produce precision-made parts from various materials.
- Reading and correctly interpreting engineering documentation to ensure accurate production.
- Optimizing production techniques to increase efficiency and meet production targets.
- Operating manual lathes when required and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Performing other duties such as light assembly work when required and training other members of staff in the use of the machine.
- Conducting first-off inspection using available inspection equipment to ensure high-quality components.
- Working collaboratively with the team to meet production deadlines and targets.
Requirements:
- Good working knowledge of working with plastics, steel, magnesium, titanium, and aluminium.
- Experience with Fanuc controls and HAAS ST20Y Mill/Turn machine.
- Knowledge of Power Mill CAD/CAM software is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
