Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor or Legal Executive to take on a senior role as Head of Department for a small but high-performing team at a Legal 500-ranked regional firm in Yeovil.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Balance fee-earning on high-quality residential property matters with taking a key leadership position to drive the department's ongoing success.
  • Take a key leadership position to drive the department's ongoing success, backed by full support from the business.
  • Responsible for promoting best practices and assessing client outcomes, continually seeking ways to enhance the quality of service provided.
  • Engage in business development initiatives, collaborating with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors, actively contributing to the strategic growth of the practice.
  • With strong support from the wider management team and clear pathways to partnership, this is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious residential property lawyer looking to step into a leadership role.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years PQE as a Residential Property Solicitor or Legal Executive.
  • Experience in a similar leadership role or as a senior member of a residential property team.
  • Strong business development skills and ability to engage with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors.
  • Ability to promote best practices and assess client outcomes, continually seeking ways to enhance the quality of service provided.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to drive the department's ongoing success.
