Early Years Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Early Years Practitioner to join our client's team at their independent, co-educational preparatory school and nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, creating a warm and inclusive learning environment, and engaging in purposeful play to promote children's development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation of the EYFS curriculum and develop a deep understanding of children's learning and development.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Engage in purposeful and structured play to support children's learning and development across all areas of the curriculum.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, maintaining accurate records of children's learning and development.
Requirements:
  • A Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or equivalent (Level 2 qualification considered with a willingness to complete Level 3).
  • Experience working as an Early Years Practitioner or similar role.
  • Thorough knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and best practices in early years education.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • Enthusiasm and a creative approach to supporting children's learning and development.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • First Aid and Safeguarding training/certification (or willingness to undertake training).
About the Role:

This is a full-time permanent position offering a salary of up to £26,000 based on-site in Tonbridge. Our client prioritises a nurturing, friendly, and family-oriented environment, and has developed a Values-based Education framework to guide and promote their school's culture.
