Sustainability & Energy Lead - Engineering Consulting

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our client's team in delivering technical excellence in sustainability and energy strategies. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our client's business and influencing decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Sustainability & Energy Strategies: Provide technical leadership and management in developing and implementing sustainability and energy strategies for various projects.
- Recruit, Manage, and Lead a Growing Team: Recruit, manage, and lead a growing team of consultants, ensuring they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality projects.
- Coordinate Work Allocation and Workflow: Coordinate work allocation, workflow, and ensure consistent project completion, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Maintain and Improve Client Communication: Maintain and improve client communication and service delivery, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and building strong relationships.
- Provide Expertise in Sustainability and Energy: Provide expertise in areas including carbon management, net zero, energy strategy, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
- Influence and Educate Others: Influence and educate others on the importance of sustainability and energy strategies, promoting a culture of sustainability within the organization.
- Support Climate Change Resilience Strategies: Support the development of climate change resilience strategies at an asset level, ensuring the organization's assets are resilient and adaptable to changing climate conditions.
- Education and Qualifications: Degree (BSc/BEng) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Environmental Science/Engineering, Climate Change, Architecture, or a related field. A relevant Masters (MSc/MEng) or postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Certification and Experience: Certification in sustainability or energy management (e.g., CEM, ISO 50001, LEED AP, BREEAM, PAS 2080) and a minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering, energy, and carbon consultancy environment.
