About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at THE RECRUITMENT FIX LIMITED. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for programming and setting up CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program and set up CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations.
  • Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and tooling for each job.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications.
  • Troubleshoot issues with machines or programs and make necessary repairs or modifications.
  • Experience of working to ISO9001 standards and to Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimise production processes.
Requirements
  • Current UK driving licence with maximum of 3 points (none of which are for dangerous or careless driving)
  • HNC (level 3) in Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering or other relevant qualifications (Desirable)
  • Previous experience with grinding/milling machines such as Makino and Kitamuras and/or
  • Previous aerospace/industrial gas turbine CNC machining experience and/or Completed a machining apprenticeship?
  • A positive attitude and happy disposition
  • Have a desire to multi-skill across engineering departments.
  • Flexibility to work between sites.
