Job Summary:

The Mechanical Fitter will play a crucial role in the assembly and building of industrial rotating equipment, ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and build a range of industrial rotating equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, compressors, turbines, and valves.
  • Dynamic balancing of components, including impellers, shafts, and rotors, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Read, interpret, and work directly from technical drawings, BOMs, and schematics to ensure that products are built in line with tolerances and specifications.

Requirements:

  • Possess formal qualifications within a relevant discipline, such as an apprenticeship, NVQ/BTEC/City & Guilds Level 3, HNC, or HND.
  • Previous experience working in an assembly and/or building role, ideally within industrial rotating equipment.

Working Hours:

  • 37 hours per week, working a regular day shift.
  • Monday to Thursday: 07:00 to 15:30.
  • Friday: 07:00 to 12:30.

Benefits:

  • Annual salary: £35,000 (equivalent to £18.58 per hour).
  • Holiday entitlement: 33 days, including public holidays.
  • Annual bonus up to £1,700.00 per annum, subject to company performance.
  • Pension scheme: 15% combined contribution (9% employer, 6% employee).
  • Access to the onsite canteen (subsidized) and gym.
  • Opportunity to work frequent overtime, paid at 150%.
  • Free onsite car parking.
