Underwriting Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Underwriting Specialist to join our Centre of Expertise, where you will play a key role in ensuring that we write the right risks at the right price.
Key Responsibilities- Utilise your technical and analytical underwriting skills to work in partnership with pricing colleagues.
- Lead the development and management of the P&U Governance and Control framework.
- Provide thought leadership to shape the future of the function.
- Support the development of our people, both now and in the longer term.
- Shape thinking on future risks and opportunities.
We are keen to meet enthusiastic, passionate, and curious individuals with a breadth of experience across Underwriting, ideally within Personal Lines.
- Demonstrable experience in an Underwriting role, ideally within Personal Lines with technical and analytical skills.
- A commercial mentality with the ability to identify risks and opportunities across squads.
- Strong external Underwriting network to bring external marketplace, customer, and competitor knowledge to the team.
- Ability to influence and engage with senior stakeholders and experience of developing individuals.
- Underwriting portfolio experience, at aggregator level.
