This company, based in Manchester, have been working alongside household names across the country for over two decades. Supplying a variety of planned and emergency inspections, maintenance and repairs from 433v through to 33kV they offer a uniquely wide service.

This role involves the travel to various customer sites to install, maintain or repair a wide variety of high voltage equipment such as switchgear, transformers and busbars. In this client-facing role, an ability to read complex wiring diagrams is essential and communication necessary to be an exemplary first point of contact for all customers.

The Role:

  • Testing of switchgear, protection, relays, VT's and CT's up to 33kV
  • Installation and modification of switchgear
  • Deliver accurate written and verbal reports from project start to completion
  • Completing the following tasks:
  • Flash Testing
  • C. pressure and VLF testing cables
  • Magnetisation testing
  • Distance, unit, transformer and motor protection

The Person:

  • Previous experience within a HV role (preferably substations)
  • Proven on-site experience
  • Full UK Driver's License

This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join a leading company in the high voltage industry. As a High Voltage Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of high voltage equipment, including switchgear, transformers and busbars.

You will work closely with internal and external engineers to ensure the safe and efficient operation of high voltage equipment. Your ability to read complex wiring diagrams and communicate effectively with customers will be essential in this role.

The successful candidate will have a background in high voltage work and previous experience in a similar role. You will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
