Senior IT Technician

WeDoData is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Technician to join our team at a secondary school and sixth form in Kent. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for the school's IT infrastructure, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for students and staff.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Microsoft products and O365, as well as knowledge of Microsoft cloud-based products such as SharePoint and EntraID. They will also have experience in 1st and 2nd line support in a school environment or similar, and hold a CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent.

The role offers a clear opportunity for career progression to IT Manager, with the current IT Manager planning to retire in the next 2-3 years. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and technology-driven environment, with a focus on strategic IT planning and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and maintenance for the school's IT infrastructure
  • Ensure a seamless and efficient experience for students and staff
  • Work closely with the IT Manager and Junior IT Technician to achieve IT goals
  • Develop and implement IT strategies to support the school's vision and objectives
  • Manage and maintain the school's IT systems and infrastructure

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Microsoft products and O365
  • Knowledge of Microsoft cloud-based products such as SharePoint and EntraID
  • Experience in 1st and 2nd line support in a school environment or similar
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and technology-driven environment
