We are currently seeking a Senior Consultant specializing in Systems Engineering & Integration, particularly within the Nuclear sector. This role will be integrated within our Systems Engineering, Integration, and Assurance team, collaborating closely with our Nuclear division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams in addressing intricate integration challenges for clients involved in major infrastructure initiatives across the Nuclear and Rail sectors.
- Oversee project tasks, manage resources on larger projects, and take full responsibility for smaller initiatives.
- Serve as a recognized authority in systems integration, offering expert guidance to clients and colleagues while mentoring early-career professionals.
- Engage in dynamic project environments, contributing to project definition and enhancing value while mitigating risks through effective systems thinking and teamwork.
- Support internal team development efforts aimed at business and technical growth, especially within the Nuclear sector.
- Assume commercial responsibility for projects, maintaining awareness of broader business implications in a consultancy context.
- Actively pursue knowledge and learning opportunities to refine problem-solving capabilities, balancing competing needs and resource constraints.
Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Chartered status with a recognized professional organization.
- Extensive post-degree experience in systems integration within the Nuclear sector.
- Proficient in developing and coordinating Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance documentation, including architectures, requirements, verification and validation records, compliance statements, integrated schedules, and risk assessments.
- Experience across various project lifecycle stages in Systems Engineering.
- Familiarity with systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS) and methodologies (e.g., Model-Based Systems Engineering, MBSE) to support a model-driven approach.
- Ability to identify and implement suitable systems engineering strategies for projects.
- Experience in leading teams in the delivery of systems engineering projects within the Nuclear sector.
- Strong background in client-facing roles and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Innovative mindset for enhancing systems engineering services.
- Eligibility to work full-time in the UK.
- Capability to obtain national security clearance at a BPSS standard or higher.
