Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Theatre Support Worker to join our team. As a Senior Theatre Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to patients in the theatre environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Personalised Care: Assist patients to access and use toilet facilities or continence aids and achieve physical comfort.
- Assist in Theatre and Recovery Area: Ensure that pressure areas are protected adequately and that patient comfort is maintained.
- Work Flexibly: Be able to work within the flexibility of the theatres, including working days, evenings, and weekends.
- Undertake Clinical Duties: Handle and store patient specimens safely, complying with Trust policy, and assist to maintain patient safety.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate and document information in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Resolve Issues: Actively try to resolve issues and complaints at local level and report outcome to line manager.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and management.
- Strong Clinical Skills: Ability to provide high-quality care and support to patients.
- Flexibility: Ability to work within the flexibility of the theatres, including working days, evenings, and weekends.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to actively try to resolve issues and complaints at local level.
