We engage with various sectors, including defense, energy, and healthcare, and are seeking a Project Support Officer to enhance our PMO and P3M team during our upcoming growth phase.

Position Responsibilities:

As a Project Support Officer within our PMO & P3M team, you will assist the PMO coordinator and project managers in the management and execution of both internal and external projects, while conducting quality control checks to ensure adherence to company standards.

Key Duties Include:

  • Facilitating quality control processes on projects primarily within defense and non-defense sectors.
  • Effectively managing stakeholder communications and monitoring project progress.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of tasks within budget constraints and quality expectations.
  • Assisting project teams in reviewing plans and proposals to guarantee compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Establishing and nurturing productive relationships with staff, suppliers, and clients.
  • Maintaining effective collaboration with project teams.
  • Supporting business development initiatives aligned with the PMO and broader company objectives.
  • Managing multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Exhibiting flexibility and adaptability in response to changing priorities and travel requirements.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential and desirable qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a project support capacity.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, such as project management.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and enhancing project quality.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting project delivery.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, communication, and team support.
  • Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a dynamic work environment.
  • Attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • A highly motivated professional committed to exceeding targets.
  • A reliable self-starter who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependability, commitment, and a genuine enthusiasm for contributing to a successful business.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites across England.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Membership in a relevant professional organization (e.g., APM, PMI) and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Experience in defense or non-defense environments.
  • Understanding of quality management principles and ISO accreditation.

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK.
  • Candidates should be prepared to undergo an internal baseline personnel security standard check prior to employment.
  • Candidates must be eligible to complete a UK Security Vetting (UKSV) security clearance application to the Security Check (SC) level upon employment commencement, typically requiring at least 5 years of UK residency.
