Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Assurance Specialist to join our team in Leeds or London. As a key member of our Risk Assurance Team, you will play a critical role in delivering a risk management program that enhances standards around risk assurance and controls testing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the execution of the testing required as part of the annual assurance program
  • Enhance standards and risk management best practices around risk assurance and controls testing
  • Document findings and recommendations, agree responses with the area under review, and present the findings as part of the assurance report
  • Collaborate with risk colleagues to drive a best-in-class risk management program
  • Identify trends and root causes in breaches and shortcomings, take action, and work collaboratively with line management to make relevant changes to policies, procedures, and working practices
  • Review and critically appraise evidence presented in support of proposed action closure
  • Present directly to senior management on the results of the above efforts
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the wider team as required
Requirements
  • A good understanding of risk, governance, and control frameworks with experience in risk assurance and testing and associated control remediation
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build great working relationships with stakeholders
  • Understanding of regulatory and operational risk management, internal controls, and root cause analysis
  • Previous work experience in risk management - gaming experience is preferable
