Job Opportunity: Locum Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is a 12-month locum consultant post in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department, providing long-term sickness cover. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in both obstetrics and gynaecology on call, with a total on call ratio of 1:11, including a gynaecology hot week with a 1:12 ratio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a range of gynaecological services, including gynaecology outpatients, emergency gynaecology, and gynaecology theatre.
  • Participate in obstetrics and gynaecology on call, with a total on call ratio of 1:11, including a gynaecology hot week with a 1:12 ratio.
  • Contribute to the development of gynaecological services, including benign gynaecology, early pregnancy, endometriosis, urogynaecology, ambulatory, menopause, paediatric, endocrine disorders, vulval conditions, and termination of pregnancy.
  • Work closely with the specialist team of gynaecology oncologists to provide tertiary gynaecological oncology services for Lancashire and South Cumbria.
