Senior Functional Safety and Cyber Security Expert

Consilium Recruit is proud to partner with a leading design consultancy specializing in innovative solutions for the clean energy sector. Due to the award of new programs, they are seeking a Senior Functional Safety and Cyber Security Engineer to join their expanding team.
The Role
- Deliver Functional Safety and Cyber Security functions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and frameworks.
- Collaborate with system engineers, components engineers, and external suppliers to deliver designs within the ISO 61508 and ISO 21434 frameworks.
- Participate in Reliability studies, including fault metrics calculations and Failure Mode, Effects, and Diagnostic Analysis (FMEDA).
- Support customer reviews with functional safety input and deliver work products in compliance with processes for ISO 9001.
- Deliver tasks in line with project milestones and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for the clean energy sector.
The Ideal Candidate
- A degree or similar qualification in systems engineering or an engineering discipline.
- Strong experience in working across functional safety and cyber security frameworks.
- Familiarity with systems engineering processes from requirements capture through to design validation.
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques for system modeling.
- Hardware verification knowledge and proven cross-functional communication skills.
- A willingness to take on roles, responsibilities, and challenges required to achieve company goals and objectives.
