Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team at Henderson Scott. As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our employees, ensuring that their desktop systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to employees: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktop systems, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Configure and deploy new desktop systems: Set up new desktop systems, including installing software, configuring network settings, and ensuring that all necessary security patches are applied.
  • Manage and maintain desktop systems: Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as updating software, checking for malware, and ensuring that all systems are running efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other teams: Work closely with other teams, such as the IT department, to ensure that all technical issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
  • Document and report technical issues: Document and report all technical issues, including the steps taken to resolve them, to ensure that future issues can be resolved quickly and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical skills: Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and other IT software and hardware.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL Foundation V4 certification: Knowledge of ITIL best practices and principles.
  • Relevant professional IT qualifications: Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+ or Cisco CCNA.
