We are seeking an experienced Associate to join our Cambridge Planning consultancy team, which is at the forefront of some of the most significant and transformative projects in the region.

This role is ideal for an experienced, qualified planner eager to make a meaningful impact on the future of the places where we live, work, and play.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide commercial planning advice to a range of clients, including property developers and investors.
  • Proactively manage engagement with local planning authorities and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Compile robust evidence to support planning cases, including preparing high-quality planning submissions.
  • Represent clients' commercial interests throughout the planning process, ensuring their needs are met and their goals are achieved.
  • Mentor junior members of the team, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance their skills and development.
  • Develop new business opportunities and maintain current client relationships, fostering strong partnerships and driving growth.
Requirements
  • A town planning degree or equivalent and full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
  • A good up-to-date and working knowledge of town planning, ideally gained in either local government or a consultancy environment.
  • Sound knowledge of the planning system, including an interest in a wide range of planning issues.
  • Commercially aware, with a focus on the bottom line and a strong understanding of the property development industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize projects on a day-to-day basis, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Ability to attract new instructions and clients, driving business growth and expansion.
