Salary: £29,000 to £34,000 dependent on experience
We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Project Officer and contribute to the delivery of our programmes, working closely with our team to make a real difference to young people across the UK.
You will be working on the European Space Education Resources Office programme (ESERO-UK), which is funded by the UK Space Agency and European Space Agency. Your role will involve using the exciting context of space to engage teachers and young people through multiple activities.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be educated to degree level with substantial relevant project and contract management experience gained within a relevant environment. You may have experience in delivering programmes direct to young people, either through education or industry.
With excellent communication, prioritising and planning skills, you will be able to work simultaneously on multiple projects, at different stages, and switch from one to another. You should be able to demonstrate examples of effective relationship management external to an organisation.
You will contribute to cross-cutting activities ensuring best practice contract and project management within STEM Learning. You will be part of a wider team of Project Officers, Project Coordinators, Programme Leads and Managers – the engine room of our operations.
About Us
STEM Learning LTD is a key UK resource for supporting STEM teaching and learning through provision of resources, on-line and physical networking and communities and partnership with a wide range of organisations and individuals. This includes driving forward on-going development of the STEM Ambassadors and STEM Clubs programmes alongside subject-specific support for all involved in teaching STEM subjects to young people.
ESERO-UK, also known as the UK Space Education and Resource Office, aims to use the context of space to open doors for young people by delivering engaging, world-class teaching in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Working alongside STEM Learning, ESERO-UK is able to provide influence, funding and services to improve the teaching of STEM subjects in schools and colleges and inspire young people through enrichment activities.
