About the Role
The Connected Talent Management System team, part of Global Talent Management & Compensation (GTMC), is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join the team in a strategic investment to build the next generation of Amazon's talent management solutions leveraging data and science.
You will be instrumental in delivering intelligent solutions that offer a consumer-grade user experience to evaluate and manage the performance of Amazon's talent base of more than a million employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the product vision and roadmap in a data-driven and working backward approach for 5 engineering teams based in Edinburgh and Seattle.
- Bring teams across organizations together, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
- Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams.
- Experience managing cross-functional programs and release schedules.
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design.
- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps.
- Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
- Experience working directly with engineering teams.
- Experience in system design.
Requirements
- Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
