Job Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing materials, loading them into the mould, starting the machine cycle, and performing quality checks on the final products. Additionally, they will participate in the material cutting process for a specific rail contract, which involves using a semi-automatic cutting bench.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare materials to the correct charge weight.
- Load materials into the hot mould tool in the specified manner.
- Start the machine cycle by pushing the appropriate buttons.
- Monitor the machine during operation to ensure it is functioning correctly.
- Perform any manual adjustments as needed during the cycle.
- Remove flash from the previous moulding using a knife and file.
- Trim excess material from the moulded parts.
- Inspect each moulded part for defects or irregularities.
- Ensure all products meet the required quality standards before packing.
- Report any issues or non-conformities to the Production Supervisor.
- Wear gloves, protective sleeves, and other required PPE at all times.
- Ensure the work area is clean and free of hazards.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of personal safety shoes.
