Job Title: Lead Nurse Colposcopist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Nurse Colposcopist to join our team at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing colposcopy procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing colposcopy procedures
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses to deliver excellent patient care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Contribute to the development of education and training programs for nursing staff

Requirements:

  • Good standard of general education
  • Previous experience of caring for people
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment
  • Good interpersonal skills, including empathy and open-minded approach to patients
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to travel within the geographical area as required by the service/requirements of the post
  • Ability to work flexible hours

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience of looking after cancer or terminally ill patients
  • Previous experience in nursing in the NHS
  • Computer literate
  • Able to understand the importance of boundaries in relationships with patients and their families
