Job Title: Stockroom Assistant

Job Type: Part-time, Permanent

Hours: 21 hours per week

Location: Preston

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stockroom Assistant to join our team in Preston. As a Stockroom Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail store by sorting, checking, and processing donations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling and moving the delivery of furniture and appliances that arrive in our stores
  • Ensuring the shop floor is always well stocked
  • Working in line with safety regulations and promoting health, safety, and wellbeing in everything you do
  • Identifying unsaleable donations for recycling
  • Keeping the stockroom organized and tidy

Requirements:

  • Previous retail experience is not essential, but a keen eye for detail and a passion for keeping things organized is a must
  • Confidence working within a team and ability to guide the activity of volunteers
  • Ability to work well under pressure and on your own initiative in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail in everything you do
