Piramal Pharma Solutions is a leading global Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) of advanced drug development and manufacturing solutions to the pharmaceutical industry.

We are expanding with our new facility and have a need for a Document Controller to support our projects.

The Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of the management system for Environmental, Health and Safety policy and practice with the implementation of new procedures where appropriate.
  • Champion proactive reporting using incident reporting systems to drive site-wide improvements.
  • Analyze incident reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify trends to guide Environmental, Health and Safety performance improvement.
  • Support and lead accident investigations with a multi-departmental team and monitor Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) status and closure.
  • Maintain an overview of the overall risk assessment framework and provide assistance/coaching to operational departments to ensure risk assessments are suitable and sufficient.
  • Assist departmental representatives to ensure all appropriate risk assessments and procedures are implemented, reviewed, and stored on the document management software.
  • Conduct site-wide workplace inspections and contribute to operational excellence programs with respect to Environmental, Health and Safety integration and behavioral-based safety.
  • Attend departmental Environmental, Health and Safety meetings to provide advice and support to managers and Environmental, Health and Safety representatives with their departmental Environmental, Health and Safety performance.
  • Audit risk management systems for compliance with current and emerging health and safety legislation.
  • Improve general Environmental, Health and Safety systems by reviewing and improving written codes of practice, design standards, and general policy statements.
  • Maintain and update other relevant Environmental, Health and Safety records.
  • Assist with regulatory and compliance audits.
  • Complete internal audits to evaluate Environmental, Health and Safety systems with improvements suggested.
  • Assist in the correct selection of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE).

Essential Qualifications:

Technical discipline, Science-related degree preferred, NEBOSH General Certificate qualification or equivalent, Environmental qualification or experience of waste and permit requirements, member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
