Key Responsibilities
  • Developing Independent Living Skills: You will work closely with service users to develop their independent living skills and promote community inclusion.
  • Activity Planning: You will identify and access activities with service users to promote valued and meaningful lifestyles.
  • Personal Care and Support: You will provide respectful personal care, emotional, and practical support to service users.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: You will collaborate with service users, families, and the multi-disciplinary team to maximize service user outcomes.
  • Policy Implementation: You will implement Creative Support principles, policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring that the service meets CQC requirements.
  • Staff Supervision: You will supervise and support staff to best meet service user needs and preferences.
  • Positive Behavior Support: You will support service users with behavior that challenges services and implement positive behavior support.
Requirements
  • Experience: You will have essential experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Management Experience: You will have experience in managing a team and providing leadership and guidance to staff.
  • Access to a Car: You will have access to a car, as this role requires travel to various locations.
