About the Role
Submarines are intricate and complex vessels that require skilled professionals to design, build, and maintain them. As a Senior Naval Architect in our Submarine Naval Architecture Team, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects across the lifecycle of submarine assets for our UK and international customers.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of naval architectural aspects of our projects. This will involve working on projects such as procuring new submarines, improving the safety and availability of UK submarines, and conducting feasibility studies and technical engineering investigations.
You will also have the opportunity to work on research and development projects, enhancing our understanding of submarine naval architecture issues and developing new capabilities, tools, and processes.
This role is based in Bath, UK, and may require occasional travel to customer sites in the UK and overseas. We offer flexible working arrangements, including part-time, job-share, or full-time options.
To be successful in this role, you will need a HNC/HND/Foundation Degree or Bachelors/Masters degree or postgraduate qualification in Naval Architecture or a similar subject. You will also need practical experience of conventional or nuclear submarine Naval Architecture, good analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience of leading technical projects. Apply Now
